Liz Tait is a Sussex-based playwright, producer and director from Worthing whose work often draws on music and human frailties.  Her one-act play A Different Song—a three-hander set backstage at an open-mic night—mixes dark and situational comedy to explore love, loneliness and the need to belong, and features live music. Tait has written three commissioned Sussex plays in collaboration with Beside the Seaside Theatre, winning Brighton Fringe awards including an Argus Angel, and she’s increasingly focused on concise one-act drama.

She produced and directed Who Do They Think They Are? a Spice Girls-inspired comedy (sold-out run in Brighton in 2025 and five star reviews) and is touring the show this year, culminating in a final performance at Greenwich Theatre, London.

She is currently developing a new comedy, Charity!
